Biographical Information

Ren Sawai has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Sawai was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 3rd round in the 2022 NPB draft. He crushed 18 homers with a .262/.345/.498 batting line in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, and he led the Eastern League in homers. He was 2nd in RBI, 15 behind Ren Wada. Sawai also played 16 games for the top team, but his batting line was .156/.270/.219. He struggled again in the big club as his batting line was .160/.192/.280 in 2024, and he hit .187/.208/.280 in 27 games in 2025.
