Biographical Information[edit]

Randy Snyder played in the minor leagues and for the USA national baseball team.

Snyder was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 24th round of the 1985 Amateur Draft, but he refused to sign and went to college. He represented the USA in the 1987 Intercontinental Cup. The Milwaukee Brewers picked him in the 2nd round of the 1988 Amateur Draft, and he hit .196/.267/.239 in 29 games for the Beloit Brewers in his first season. He had a .283/.389/.350 batting line for the AZL Brewers in 1989, and his batting line was .316/.402/.418 in 24 games for the Helena Brewers. He also played 34 games for the Stockton Ports, but his batting line was .188/.289/.248.

In 1990, Snyder stayed in Beloit for the entire season, and he hit .201/.272/.292 in 101 games. He had a .256/.379/.404 batting line in 82 games for the Ports in 1991, and he went 5-for-24 with the El Paso Diablos. Snyder then had a .232/.335/.329 batting line for the Salt Lake City Trappers in 1992, and he signed with the Florida Marlins in 1993. He hit .294/.370/.529 in 20 games for the High Desert Mavericks, and he recorded a .266/.317/.362 batting line in 38 games with the AAA Edmonton Trappers. He then joined the Colorado Rockies in 1995, and he played 23 games with a .289/.432/.474 batting line for the Salem Avalanche. Snyder also had a 4-for-17 record with the New Haven Ravens, and his professional career ended.
