Biographical Information

Rafael Ohashi has pitched in the minor leagues and for the Brazilian national team.

Ohashi signed with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019, and he was 1-2 with a 4.09 ERA in 2021 for the FCL Blue Jays after the minor leagues were shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He also pitched 10 games for the Dunedin Blue Jays that season, but his ERA was 5.96 with a 1-2 record. Ohashi improved to 3-2 with a 2.96 ERA in Dunedin in 2022, and he slumped to 4-6 with a 6.20 ERA in 2023. He pitched for the Vancouver Canadians in 2024, and he had a 4.10 ERA in 23 appearances. He was on Brazil's roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, but he didn't pitch any games. Brazil won a spot in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, returning after a 13-year break.
