Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Po-Hsuan Wang played in the CPBL.

Wang was drafted by the TSG Hawks in the 25th round of the 2022 CPBL Draft, and he hit .297/.341/.364 in the minor league in 2023. He debuted on April 10, and he got his fist career hit and RBI against Kai-Ching Lan on April 18. He crushed his first career homer against Tzu-Chiang Lee on June 16. Wang ended up hitting .283/.332/.355 with 14 doubles in 2024, and he got 75 votes in the CPBL Rookie of the Year voting, finishing third behind two teammates Tzu-Yu Tseng and Po-Ching Chen.

The Taoyuan native represented Taiwan in the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, and he was 2-for-4 against Spain in their opener. Wang went 4-for-5 against South Africa, and he was 1-for-3 against Nicaragua. In the finale versus Spain again, Wang went 1-for-3 to help Taiwan secure a spot of the 2026 World Baseball Classic. He hit .533/.632/.600 in the entire event, and he led the Taiwan pool with 8 hits (in fact, he led both qualifiers) and 2 steals. Wang was also 5th in OPS, between Rusber Estrada and Yu Chang.
