Infielder Pedro Ramírez was signed by the Chicago Cubs as an international amateur free agent on January 15, 2021.
He made his major league debut on May 23, 2026, as a pinch-hitter for C Miguel Amaya in the 8th inning of a game against the Houston Astros at Wrigley Field. He grounded out against Enyel De Los Santos, then was replaced by Carson Kelly in the top of the 9th.
