Biographical Information[edit]
Patrick Sellas studied mechanical engineering at Cal Poly Pomona before specializing in baseball biomechanics and player performance development.
His career in professional baseball began when he was hired as a Baseball Operations: Research & Development Fellow for the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2017-2018 offseason. He was subsequently promoted to an R&D analyst role, and later served as a Senior Analyst within the organization's research and development department. In January 2026, he was named to the Diamondbacks' major league coaching and support staff with the title of "Coordinator, Integrative Performance - Baseball R&D".
