Biographical Information

Olle Öijen was 2 for 8 with a walk for the Swedish national team in the 2001 European Championship. His first game was a late-game replacement for catcher Magnus Pilegard, his first at-bat was versus Croatia's Erik Vardijan and his first hit off Germany's Martin Almstetter. He won three Elitserien titles with the Karlskoga Bats. Unfortunately, the heatstat site that listed historic Swedish stats went offline and was never replaced, so his stats prior to 2020 are possibly lost to history. He was last active in the Elitserien at age 45 in 2022 and he got a hit off Jakob Claesson. He later worked in consulting.
