Biographical Information

Nozomu Takatera has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Takatera was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 7th round of the 2020 NPB draft, the scout was Katsuhiro Hiratsuka. He hit .162/.260/.250 in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2021, and he improved to .280/.346/.377 in 2022. Takatera also played 8 games for the top team, but he was 3-for-23. He then played 106 games with a .260/.319/.338 batting line in 2023, and he hit .288/.354/.356 with 6 triples in 2024. Takatera led the Western League in triples and hits (124) in '24, but he didn't reach the top team in those two seasons. He finally got some chances in 2025, and he hit .231/.325/.306 in 67 games. He shared the starting left fielder spot with Ukyo Maegawa, and he hit .273/.333/.273 in the 2025 Nippon Series; the Tigers lost to the Softbank Hawks in 5 games.
