Biographical Information

Norimoto Sugawara pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 4 years.

Sugawara signed with the Daimai Orions in 1959, and he only got 6 appearances combined in his first three seasons. He pitched 57 games with a 12-10 record and a 3.40 ERA in 1962, and he tied Tsutomu Kuroda and Kazuhisa Inao for 4th in appearances in the Pacific League. However, Sugawara suffered from shoulder injuries, and he only got 3 more appearances before he announced his retirement in 1965.

Overall, Sugawara was 12-10 with a 3.45 ERA, struck out 147 and pitched 226 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
