Biographical Information

Norikazu Miyata was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 3rd round of the 1975 NPB draft, and he only pitched 3 games combined in his first two seasons. He had a 3.77 ERA in 14 relief outings in 1978, and his ERA was 5.73 in 7 games in 1979. Miyata allowed 7 runs in 6 innings in 1980, and he was traded to the Hankyu Braves for cash. His ERA was 4.91 in 6 games in 1981, but he only got 2 more appearances before he announced his retirement in 1984.
