Biographical Information

Norihiko Tanaka was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 5th round of the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Tomofumi Matsumoto. He notched 12 saves with a 1.73 ERA in 25 appearances in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2020, and he also pitched 2 shutout innings in 2020. He led the Western League in saves, one ahead of Kohei Suzuki. However, Tanaka never reached the big club again, and he announced his retirement in 2022.
