Norbert Lokhorst has spent several years in the Hoofdklasse. In 2003, he hit 11 doubles to tie Percy Isenia for the league lead. In 2004, the Pioniers player ranked among the leaders in runs (27, tied for 7th), hits (44, tied for 10th), doubles (9, tied for 6th) and steals (11, tied for 3rd with Jermain Esprit and Raily Legito).
Norbert batted .255/.339/.327 for the 2005 Pioniers and stole 7 bases in 8 tries while playing error-free ball in the outfield. He was 2 for 18 in the postseason. In 2006, he hit .220/.338/.305 as a 2B-OF and hit .211/.286/.211 in the 2006 Holland Series.
Lokhorst's batting line in the 2007 Hoofdklasse was .308/.446/.444 and he scored 28 runs in 39 games. He was 7th in OBP and tied for 5th with 25 walks. He tied Denny Beljaards, Fausto Alvarez and Legito for 10th in the circuit in runs scored. In the 2007 Holland Series, the right-hander was 6 for 16 with two doubles.
In 2008, Lokhorst batted .229/.369/.390 as the main second baseman for the Pioniers. He tied for fifth in the league with 11 doubles. During 2009, the veteran hit .242/.363/.299 with 28 walks, 29 RBI and 29 runs in 42 games; he was 11-for-13 in steal attempts. He fielded .970 at second base. He was 9th in the league in RBI, 5th in walks and tied for 7th in steals. He tied Jefferson Muzo, Legito, Mark Duursma and Mervin Gario for 7th in the circuit in runs (all but Legito were teammates, oddly). In the 2009 Holland Series, he was 2 for 11 with a walk.
Off the field, he works as a dentist. The Pioniers retired his number 15.
