Biographical Information[edit]

Noah Lowry attended Pepperdine University and was a roommate of fellow big league pitcher Danny Haren. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants with the 30th pick of the first round of the 2001 amateur draft.

He pitched five seasons in the majors, all with the Giants, from 2003 to 2007 and seemed destined to become a star. In 2005, in his first full season, he went 13-13 with a 3.78 ERA and pitched 204 2/3 innings. In his final season, in 2007, he was 14-8, 3.92 when an arm injury put him on the sidelines in late August. Unfortunately he was never able to come back after that, as he did not even make it back to the minor leagues. Overall, he went 40-31 in 106 games, 100 of them starts, over the five season, with an ERA of 4.03 and 420 strikeouts in 618 1/3 innings.
