Biographical Information[edit]
Nico Giarratano played college ball with the University of San Francisco Dons (coached by his father Nino Giarratano) and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Business Administration and Management. He later earned a masters from USF in Sport Management.
The San Francisco Giants drafted Giarratano in the 24th round of the 2017 Amateur Draft. Giarratano played in the Giants and Oakland Athletics minor league systems from 2017-2019. After a year away from baseball due to COVID-19, Giarratano completed his playing career in 2021 with the Generales de Durango of the Mexican League.
In 2022, the Seattle Mariners hired Giarratano to manage their DSL Mariners club. He moved to the Minnesota Twins organization the next year and worked as the FCL Twins development coach in 2023-2024. The Twins promoted him to manager of the Florida Complex League squad in 2025. Giarratano received another promotion in 2026 to manager of the Wichita Wind Surge.
