Naoya Ishikawa has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Ishikawa was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 4th round of the 2014 NPB draft; the scout was Shinichi Kawana. He only pitched one game combined in his first two seasons, and he recorded a 4.35 ERA in 37 appearances in 2017. Ishikawa notched 19 saves and 18 holds with a 2.59 ERA in 52 relief outings in 2018, and he was 4th in saves (between Frank Herrmann and Tatsuya Uchi) in the Pacific League. He extended his solid performance in 2019, and he collected 21 holds with a 3.31 ERA in 60 games. Ishikawa was 9th in appearances, tied with Naoya Masuda and Liván Moinelo. However, he then underwent Tommy John surgery, and he missed the next two seasons. Ishikawa collected 6 saves and 8 holds with a 3.94 ERA in 2022, and he got 3 holds with a 5.87 ERA in 16 appearances in 2023. Ishikawa didn't reach the big club in the next two seasons, and he was released in 2025. He signed with the Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club.
