Biographical Information

Naoki Sato has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Sato was drafted by the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in the first round of the 2019 NPB draft after they lost the lottery for Takaya Ishikawa, and he hit .229/.281/.371 with a league-leading 20 steals in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2020; he didn't reach the big club. Sato went went 0-for-6 in the major league in 2021, and he hit .129/.206/.323 in 48 games in 2022. He struggled again in 2023 as he hit .167/.167/.300, then he recorded a .191/.250/.250 batting line in 44 games in 2024.
