Biographical Information[edit]
Montell Higuma has played in Nippon Pro Baseball. His brother Julius Higuma played in the NPB Farm Leagues but never reached the top team.
Higuma played for the Tokushima Indigo Socks in 2022, and he was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 2nd round of the development phase in the 2022 NPB draft.[1] He hit .277/.292/.362 in 2023 in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he played 60 games with a .284/.310/.364 batting line in 2024. Higuma debuted against the Softbank Hawks on May 7, and he was 1-for-11 with the big club in 2025. His hit came off Austin Voth.
