Biographical Information[edit]
Mizuki Tanaka was drafted by the Daiei Hawks in the 5th round of the 1999 NPB draft, and he stayed in the minors in his first two seasons. He missed the entire 2001 season due to right shoulder injury, and he was 1-for-8 in 2002. Tanaka went 8-for-30 in 2003, and he hit .250/.308/.321 in 41 games in 2004. However, he didn't reach the big club in 2005, and the Hawks released him. He signed with the Chiba Lotte Marines, but he spent the 2006 season in the minors and he announced his retirement.
