Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Misha Dworken played four games for the Richmond Roosters of the independent Frontier League in 2000. He signed with the Houston Astros organization in 2001, but never appears to have played in any minor league games that season. Dworken returned to the independent leagues in 2002 and remained there through 2007. In that six year span, he played for 10 different teams.

Dworken turned to coaching after his playing career ended. Information on his early years is limited, though he was a junior varsity head coach & assistant varsity coach at Sarasota High School in 2012 and 2013. During the summers of those years, he was the manager of the Torrington Titans of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

The Tampa Bay Rays hired Dworken in 2015 as a bullpen catcher, a role he continued through the 2025 season. In 2023 and 2024, he doubled as a Major League Staff Assistant.
