Biographical Information[edit]
Mingxin Zhang represented the Chinese national team in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, going 1 for 9 with a walk and a run. [1] He hit .250/.318/.250 in the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup. [2] He played for the Shandong Blue Whales in the China Baseball League, and he was on China's roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. Zhang was their starting third baseman against pool champion Colombia, and he hit a single against Rio Gomez in the 2nd inning. He then advanced to second due to a bunt, and he scored the only run for China because of Michael Arroyo's error. Zhang was 0-for-3 in their next game against Brazil. [3]
