Biographical Information

2B Michihisa Sawai was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 11th round of the 2004 NPB draft, and he hit .056/.227/.167 in 22 plate appearances over 46 games in 2005. Mainly a pinch-runner, he scored 19 times with one hit and stole 4 bases in 5 tries. He had a .184/.262/.211 batting line in 2006, and he only got 7 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 2010.
