Biographical Information[edit]
Michael Eberlein played in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.
He was 2-for-5 with a run and two steals in the 1979 European Junior Championship and hit .250/.294/.313 with 3 swipes in 5 games during the 1981 European Junior Championship, handling 19 chances error-free. He made it to the senior national team by the 1984 B-Level European Championship, going 5-for-12 with a steal, four runs and four RBI but making two errors in four chances. He was 1 for 7 with 3 steals and 3 runs in the 1986 B-Level European Championship. He went 0-for-3 with a walk and a steal in the 1989 European Championship, with one error in four chances. Statistics for the Bundesliga are unavailable for most of his career (at least online as of 8/5/2025); he wound down in 2000 with the Mannheim Tornadoes.
