Biographical Information[edit]

After redshirting his freshman year, Micah Evans played baseball at the University of Central Missouri from 2018-2021. He earned a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science (2020) and a master's in Mathematics (2021) from the University.

After college, Evans joined the New York Mets organization on a Diversity Fellowship which he retained until late 2022. The Mets hired him as a full-time employee and he served as a coach for the FCL Mets in 2023 with a focus upon outfield defense. Evans stayed with the FCL Mets in 2024 as the team's development coach. He also had responsibility for baserunning instruction.

Evans left professional baseball coaching in 2025 and took a job in private business.[1] He remained active in coaching on the local scene. Evans was an assistant varsity coach for the St. Lucie West Centennial High School Eagles during the 2025 spring season. In August, John Carroll Catholic High School hired Evans as their new varsity head coach.[2]
