Biographical Information

Matt Childers made 11 big league appearances, 8 with the 2002 Milwaukee Brewers and 3 with the 2005. Interestingly, he was a teammate of his brother, Jason, in both seasons and outperformed by Jason both times. Matt earned a 50 game PED pop in 2007 while pitching to a 4-1, 3.41 record with the Ottawa Lynx. He started 2009 with the Rakuten Golden Eagles farm team and was called up to NPB on June 20th, posting a 10.38 ERA in 3 games, his final work as a professional.

He is the brother of Jason, Scott and Terry Childers, Jr.. He is the son of Terry Childers. His son, Will Childers, has played in the Milwaukee Brewers' chain.
