Biographical Information

Masumi Hamachi has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Hamachi was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 4th round of the 2016 NPB draft; the scout was Shuta Tanaka. He spent his first two seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he pitched 21 games with a 6.11 ERA in 2019. Hamachi only pitched 5 games combined in the next two seasons, and he broke out in 2022. He pitched 52 games with 21 holds and a solid 1.14 ERA, and he was 9th in holds in the Central League (tied with Nobutaka Imamura). However, Hamachi struggled in 2023 as his ERA was 5.86 in 30 games, and he pitched 18 games with a 2.11 ERA in 2024. The Yokohama BayStars picked him in the 2024 NPB Active draft.
