Biographical Information

Masami Yamada was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 2nd round of the 1985 NPB draft, and he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He pitched 10 games with a 3.38 ERA in 1989, and he completed 1 1/3 shutout innings in the 1989 Nippon Series Game 4. However, Yamada only pitched 7 more games for the top team before he announced his retirement in 1995.
