Biographical Information

Masahito Higasa was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 7th round of the 1995 NPB draft, and he had a 6.11 ERA in 24 relief outings in 1996. He only pitched 5 games in 1997, and he had a solid 1.87 ERA in 46 appearances in 1998. However, Higasa only pitched 2 games combined in the next two seasons, and the Dragons released him. He signed with the Daiei Hawks, and his ERA was 4.76 in 7 appearances in 2001. He pitched 4 innings with a 4.50 ERA in 2002, and he announced his retirement.
