Biographical Information

Masahiro Hayashi was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 4th round of the 1975 NPB draft, and he only got 10 at-bats in his first four seasons. He hit .250/.371/.404 in 40 games in 1980, and he was hitless in 3 at-bats in the 1980 Nippon Series; the Buffaloes lost to the Hiroshima Carp in 7 games. Hayashi only got 14 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1985.
