Mark Miller played six seasons in the minor leagues, reaching AAA.
Miller was picked by the Cincinnati Reds in the 5th round of the 1975 amateur draft. That season, he hit .230/.269/.280 for the Billings Mustangs; he led the Pioneer League with 13 passed balls. In 1976, Miller batted .164/.240/.195 for the Eugene Emeralds with 41 strikeouts in 128 AB.
Miller split 1977 between the Tampa Tarpons and Shelby Reds, hitting .241/.268/.278 in 31 games for Tampa and .199/.240/.343 in 48 games for Shelby, showing some pop with 6 home runs. In 1978, he appeared for the AA Nashville Sounds and went 6 for 21 with a walk, 3 doubles and a home run. Back with Nashville in '79, Mark hit .250/.371/.284 in 59 games as a reliable backup to Dave Van Gorder.
Reaching AAA in 1980, Miller was 6 for 39 with two walks, a triple and 15 strikeouts for the Indianapolis Indians to end his career.
