Biographical Information[edit]

Mark Ciardi was signed as a 15th round pick in the 1983 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers ans scouting supervisor Walter Youse.

Since retiring from professional baseball Ciardi has produced quite a few Hollywood hit movies. He made his debut with The Rookie, the 2002 movie about high school coach-turned-big league reliever Jim Morris. He has since produced The New Guy, Miracle, and Invincible. He had two movies set to release in 2007, Carlisle School and The Game Plan.

He also played a bit part in Fever Pitch and cast himself as "Tim Stewart" in The Rookie. His real name appears in a newspaper article taken off of a cork board by Morris in the scene following the high school District Championship game about half way through the movie. The article appears to be fake as it paints Ciardi as a playboy off the field.
