Biographical Information

Outfielder Mamoru Zaitsu signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 1961, and he was 9-for-32 in his first season. He played 63 games (107 PA) with a .247/.305/.278 batting line in 1962, and he hit .200/.304/.225 in 1963. Zaitsu only got 2 hits in 25 at-bats in 1964, and he announced his retirement.
