Biographical Information

Makoto Ito was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 6th round of the 1991 NPB draft, and he only pitched one game for the top team before he went to the Chiba Lotte Marines in 1996. He had a 3.94 ERA in 34 games for the Visalia Oaks that season, and the Marines released him. Ito signed with the Yakult Swallows, but he didn't reach the big club in 1997 and he announced his retirement.
