Biographical Information[edit]
Madison Shipman was a star softball player at the University of Tennessee, playing shortstop and leading the school to a second-place finish in the 2013 NCAA women's softball championship. She then played the sport professionally for a number of years.
Starting in 2023, she became a guest analyst on Blue Jays Central, the pregame show for Toronto Blue Jays games on Rogers Sportsnet working with host Jamie Campbell. She was also a guest analyst on Blue Jays radio broadcasts, as play-by-play announcer Ben Wagner did not have a regular partner. She was also working part-time as an analyst on ESPN softball telecasts, but was let go when the network made major reductions to its staff.
In 2025, her appearances on Blue Jays telecasts became more frequent, as Joe Siddall moved from the pre-game show to become the analyst on the main broadcast in the absence of Buck Martinez, who was undergoing treatment for cancer. When Martinez announced his retirement following the 2025 World Series, Siddall was named his full-time replacement, opening up a regular spot for Shipman on the pre-game show, sharing duties with Caleb Joseph and other guest analysts.
