Maccabiah Games
(Redirected from Maccabi Games)
The Maccabiah Games (also called Maccabi Games) are the third-largest multi-sport international competition, in terms of participants, after the Olympics and soccer's World Cup. Starting in 1953, they have been held every four years in Israel for Jewish athletes worldwide to participate. Notable baseball players have included major leaguers Max Fried (2009) and Dean Kremer (2013) as well as Bundesliga player Nate Fish (2005), minor leaguer Shawn Goosenberg (the 2017 Maccabiah Games baseball MVP) and Corey Baker (2001). The US has dominated the baseball competition historically.
