Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Logan Henderson was the beneficiary of a couple of team records when he made his major league debut as the starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Braves against The Athletics on April 20, 2025. The Brewers went running wild in that game, stealing a team record six bases in the 1st inning, when they scored four runs, and a total of nine altogether - another record - all in the first four innings of the game. Logan pitched six strong innings, allowing 1 run on just 3 hits and a walk and striking out 9, and he earned credit for a 14-1 win.

He was drafted by the Brewers in the 4th round of the 2021 amateur draft, out of a junior college in Texas. It is likely that he would have been taken coming out of high school the year before had the COVID-19 pandemic not limited the draft to just five rounds, putting high school graduates at a huge disadvantage.

Shortly after making the majors, he was the victim of a creative prank by his teammates. After he had been a tick late getting to the mound for his previous start against the Baltimore Orioles on May 20th, delaying the game's scheduled first pitch from 6:40 pm to 6:42, he was greeted with a envelope placed in front of his locker. In it was a letter purportedly signed by the Commissioner scolding him for his tardiness and stating that he would be assessed a $5,000 fine as a result. Except that it was a fake cooked up by teammates, who instead of owning up to the fact then convinced him to write back to the Commish to apologize and plead for relief. As he was about to do that, pitching coach Chris Hook let him in on the joke. He then explained to the media that his being late was due to the fact that major league ballparks are bigger than the minor league ones he had been frequenting for most of his career, and he had not figured the extra time required to get to the mound in his pre-game routine.
