Biographical Information

Although born and raised in Michigan, pitcher Logan Evans went to two colleges in Pennsylvania, first to Penn State University for two years (his first season there was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020), and then to the University of Pittsburgh for two more. His numbers were not spectacular - he had ERAs of 7.43 and 5.88 for the Panthers - but he was still drafted in the 12th round of the 2023 amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners.

In his first taste of pro ball in 2023, he posted an ERA of 0.60 in 15 innings between the ACL Mariners and Modesto Nuts, and in 2024 went 9-5, 3.20 in 32 games for the Arkansas Travelers of the Texas League. He was the league's Pitcher of the Month in May and ended the season as the top-ranked pitching prospect in the organization. He started the 2025 season in AAA with the Tacoma Rainiers and was 1-1, 3.86 in 5 starts when he got the call to Seattle. He was a winner in his major league debut on April 27th, starting against the Miami Marlins and giving up 2 runs on 2 hits in 5 innings.
