Biographical Information[edit]
Lee Card pitched twice for Team Canada in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. Relieving Craig Mosher in the 6th against Taiwan, he went 2 2/3 shutout innings (2 H, BB, 3 K) before Mark Randall saved Card's 5-4 win over Shih-Kai Chang. His other outing, he replaced David Steffler in the 7th versus Nicaragua. He threw a wild pitch and struck out Edgard López then handed the ball over to Dave Ross. He was the only Canadian hurler to not yield a run during the event, but also worked their fewest innings.
