Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Kyle Abbott was signed as a 1st round pick in the 1989 amateur draft by the California Angels and scout Rick Ingalls.

Kyle's 1992 season with the Philadelphia Phillies was historically awful, going 1-14 over 19 starts, but his career would not be officially dubbed "washed up" until two years later when he gave up 9 earned runs in 4 innings, finishing his farewell season with a 20.25 ERA.

He wore numbers 47, 39, and 59.

His father, Larry Abbott, played minor league ball.
