Biographical Information

Kouki Moriya was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 4th round of the 2014 NPB draft, but he spent most of his first four seasons primarily in the NPB Farm Leagues; he only got 9 appearances combined. Moriya finally got some chances in 2019, and he collected 7 holds with a 3.00 ERA in 57 relief outings. However, he only pitched 7 more innings for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2022.

Overall, Moriya went 2-3 with a 5.11 ERA, struck out 68 and pitched 74 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
