Biographical Information[edit]
Kota Yoshida hit .238/.371/.293 in 48 games for the AZL Athletics in 1997. The middle infielder stole 22 bases in 28 tries and scored 47 runs. He tied Joel Guerrero for 5th in the Arizona League in steals and was 8th in runs. He was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 1998, but he only played one game as a pinch-runner for the top team before the Buffaloes released him in 2001. The Yokohama BayStars signed him, but he didn't reach the top team and he announced his retirement.
