He recorded a .232/.305/.327 batting line with 19 steals in 1955, and he crushed 12 homers with a .229/.287/.359 batting line in 1956. Komori tied Kohei Sugiyama and Yasumitsu Toyoda for 8th in homers in the Pacific League that season. He hit .258/.324/.359 with 12 steals in 1957, and he slumped to .197/.269/.275 in 1958. The Nagano native struggled again in 1961 as he had a .215/.255/.346 batting line in 98 games, and the Orions released him. He signed with the Kintetsu Buffaloes, and he hit .201/.223/.305 in 83 games. Komori's batting line was .228/.269/.358 in 1963, so he only had 34 appearances with a .194/.242/.371 batting line in 1964. He came back in 1965 as he played 132 games with a .271/.301/.388 batting line, but he went 0-for-12 in 1966 and he announced his retirement. Komori later became a coach for the Buffaloes in 1967, for the Hiroshima Carp from 1968 to 1971 and for the Yakult Swallows from 1974 to 1975. He managed their minors team from 1976 to 1981, and he was the fielding coach for the Taiyo Whales from 1982 to 1984.
Overall, Komori hit .231/.285/.339 with 691 hits and 49 homers in 13 seasons in NPB.
