Biographical Information[edit]
Kinichi Nakata signed with the Osaka Tigers in 1939, and he was 1-for-9 in his first season. He played 64 games with a .223/.299/.293 batting line in 1940, and he was 7-for-40 in 1941. Nakata then enlisted into the military, and he missed the next six seasons. He returned in 1948, but he only got 5 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1950. He was an umpire for the Central League from 1956 to 1960.
