Biographical Information

Kento Fujishima has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Fujishima crushed 48 homers in high school, and he represented Japan in the 2016 BFA U-18 Baseball Championship. The Chunichi Dragons selected him in the 5th round of the 2016 NPB draft, and he had a 6.75 ERA in 5 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2017. He was 3-1 with a 3.66 ERA in 2018, then he notched 14 holds with a 2.48 ERA in 32 appearances in 2019. Fujishima then pitched 26 games with a 3.91 ERA in 2020, and he improved to a 1.59 ERA with 5 holds in 48 games in 2021. He extended his solid performance in 2023 as he got 14 holds with a 1.07 ERA in 56 appearances, and he tied Naofumi Kizawa and Noboru Shimizu for 5th in appearances in the Central League. He then went 3-3 with 14 holds and a 2.20 ERA in 50 games in 2024.
