Biographical Information[edit]
Kentaro Shinogi has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Shinogi represented Japan in the 2022 Haarlem Baseball Week (5 K in 2 shutout IP) and 2024 Haarlem Baseball Week (2-0, 0 R in 5 IP; he beat the USA's Aiden Butler and then beat Jordan Huskey of the US in the title game). In 2024, he tied Yuya Fujii, Scott Prins and Jun-Wei Zhang for the win lead and tied for the most appearances (3). He was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 2nd round of the 2024 NPB draft; the scout was Ryo Kawano. He debuted against the Hanshin Tigers on April 2, 2024, and he pitched a shutout inning.
