Biographical Information

Kenji Sato was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 2nd round of the 2006 NPB draft, and he spent his first four seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. Sato also hit .242/.307/.308 in 25 games for the North Shore Honu in the winter after the 2008 season. The Marines traded him to the Nippon Ham Fighters in 2010, and he went 2-fro-18 that season. Sato had a 1-for-7 record in 2011, and he played 38 games with a .242/.337/.363 line in 2013. He slumped to .196/.225/.336 in 2014, and he was 6-for-28 in 2015 then he announced his retirement.
