Biographical Information

Kenji Nishimaki has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nishimaki represented Japan in the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup, hitting .211/.318/.211 and handling 25 chances error-free, primarily at second base. The Rakuten Golden Eagles selected him in the 6th round of the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Ryoichi Ueoka. He hit .247/.275/.286 in 25 games in 2018, and he only got an at-bat for the big club in 2019. Rakuten then released him, and he signed with the Chiba Lotte Marines. Nishimaki went 4-for-16 in 2020, but he only played 2 more games for the big club before the Marines released him in 2022. He then signed with the Yokohama BayStars, and he went 0-for-3 in 2023 and stayed in the minors for the entire 2024 season.
