Biographical Information

Kenji Harada signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1985, and he had a 2.13 ERA in 17 appearances in 1986. He went 3-4 with 2 saves and a 3.95 ERA in 23 games in 1987, and he was 3-2 with a 4.29 ERA in 23 relief outings in 1988. The Braves then traded him with Takayuki Shirai and Tsuyoshi Uchida to the Daiei Hawks for Hiromitsu Kadota, but his ERA rose to 7.50 in 11 games in 1989. He only pitched 4 games in 1990, and he announced his retirement in 1991.

Overall, Harada was 7-6 with a 4.25 ERA, struck out 114 and pitched 175 2/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
