Biographical Information[edit]
Keiji Hashimoto was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 4th round of the 1981 NPB draft and he recorded a 3.55 ERA in 13 games in 1983. He went 3-4 with a 4.20 ERA in 1984, but his ERA rose to 5.06 in 17 games in 1985. The Giants then traded him to the Nankai Hawks for Keisuke Okamoto, and he was 0-3 with a 4.05 ERA in 1987. His ERA was 7.02 in 11 games in 1988, and he only got 2 more appearances before he announced his retirement in 1990.
Overall, Hashimoto went 5-11 with a 4.52 ERA, struck out 123 and pitched 181 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
