Biographical Information

Kazuyuki Niwa signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 1953, and he only played one game in his first season. He hit .197/.246/.230 in 41 games in 1954 (backing up Riichi Kodama at 3B), and he recorded a .216/.238/.255 batting line in 1955 in the same role. Niwa went 4-for-27 in 1956, and he was 5-for-23 in 1957 then he announced his retirement.
