Biographical Information[edit]
Kazuma Kakura was drafted by the Taiheiyo Club Lions in the 4th round of the 1975 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons. He hit .182/.229/.242 in 32 games in 1979, and he returned in the minors in the next two seasons. The Lions then traded him to the Hanshin Tigers for cash, and Kakura went 0-for-15 in 36 games in 1983, being used regularly as a defensive sub in the outfield. He didn't reach the big club in 1984, and he announced his retirement.
